January 22, 2020, is a day little baby Graces new adoptive parents will never forget. A couple by the name of Jennifer and Mario Melgoza wanted a baby, but were unsuccessful in their attempts. Once Jeniffer learned the news of her infertility the couple looked to other options such as adoption. On September 6, 2019, little, newborn Grace was placed into a Safe Haven Baby Box at Franciscan Health in Hammond. September 6 is the day Jennifer and Mario were contacted to take in Grace, and their dream to once be parents finally became a reality thanks to the selfless act by this baby’s mother.
